Born in Nutbush, Tennessee in 1939, Tina Turner moved to St. Louis in her teen years and from there she left for California. Although Tina lived in the Los Angeles area for about 25 years, in 1986 Tina moved to Europe and has lived there since. Living first in London, she later moved with her German boyfriend to Cologne, Germany. However, since the mid-1990′s, Tina divides her time between Zurich, Switzerland and Nice at the French Côte d’Azur. Her house in France was built especially for her and she decorated it herself.

Here is a videoclip created by us for the mantra “Sarvesham Svastir Bhavatu”, sung by Tina Turner. This is one of the most powerful songs from the new album “Children Beyond”. We used extracts from the “Children Beyond” documentary directed by Xaver Walser to create the clip. The mantra means “May well-being, peace, wholeness and tranquility, hapiness and prosperity be achieved by all”.
Sing it for peace of all sensitive beings, for calmness and harmony. Love has no boundaries… More details about the song & lyrics on YouTube!
Make sure to also watch the entire documentary here! It is beautiful.

Below, you will find a tour book from Tina Turner’s tour of Australia in 1977. This was one of Tina’s first solo ventures after her break from Ike, even before she had recorded her first real solo album. She played a show of mostly Ike & Tina classics and covers, in a cabaret-style complete with extravagant Bob Mackie outfits. A big thanks goes out to Marcin for these scans!
Children Beyond is the follow-up to the 2009 album Beyond. This album constituted a remarkable shift in Tina Turner’s career, as it was her first involvement in a spiritual project. Beyond was a big success, reaching a top 10 position in the Swiss album charts and raising approximately 300,000 Swiss Francs (325,000 US Dollars) for several charity projects. Therefore, it was a logical decision to continue the project with Children Beyond, which will be released in Switzerland and in a digital version today.
