Tina Turner Blog 
I was told that she was my half sister. I have some pics of my known sister that kinda makes me think about the saying of my father when he was farming at Nutbush, Tn. He was 26 at the time when he left my pregnant mother in January or February of 1939. He was a gambling man and gambled with all the folks around there and went out with a lot of girls at the time. I think all the men around there did the same. Before he died he told my dying sister that the little girl that was dancing in the street in Brownsville belonged to him. I am not sure about any of this but there is so much resemblance of my dead sister Jenny born in April 1939 that it makes me wonder. She has so many of her features. I would post some of her pictures but don’t have any way on this site. I was born on the Forked Deer River around Nutbush in 1951. My whole family came up there. My dad was part Indian blood just real funny looking skin. So was my grandfather and greatgrandfather whom lived there and is buried there now. I will post some of the pics of her on my facebook at the least.

This is a very interesting story. There were indeed always rumors that Tina was not Richard Floyd Bullock’s daughter, but the daughter of Zelma and another man. Maybe your father? We are interested in hearing more from you, and seeing photos. Maybe you can send us a short message via the ‘Contact’ button at the top of this page?

Like i said, I cannot verify any thing that was told to my sister Rachel but only that my father told her that story. I can give you the number of my sister and you are more than welcome to speak with her if you want. I never knew any of this talk until she spoke with me one day and i thought she was a little joke to me but as i pondered more about this i started to see things in a different light somewhat. Since i was a child and born in 1951 it was out of my knowledge of Miss Turner living in that area. No one in my home spoke of her and even i did not know much about her life until a few years back but did not think much of it. Now, since my sis told me i started to check on my own and that is when i found out about her DNA line and given her features i felt compelled to think more and more she might be my half sister. This is still far from knowing the facts as dad died in 1989 and my sister is almost on her way also but still can talk about what he said to her. She is a little older than Miss Turner. If Miss Turner wants to know then i will tell her somehow what i know and if she wants to email my sister then that is ok i think. Just today i was looking at her ways of talking and actions and saw my aunt Margaret’s facial looks a little bit plus my sister Jenny to me looks also. If i am wrong i am sorry but just given what was said and the features she has make me wonder. My family has certain characteristics and these are in all of us such as the right front tooth a littler further out than the other and we most all had what was called a double joint where the arm could be bent out at the elbow and other things like and a sorta double ankle bone above the heel. Maybe i am wrong but if she wishes to correspond about this maybe she will read this before she passes and might want to inquire. I will be willing to have my DNA and others in my family if she wants it. I am not after anything up front. I am much happy now but this bothered me after what my sister said and the more i thought about it the more i felt she should know it for her own posterity. What else can i say?

These are some pics of my father working with negro peoples at Brownsville, Tn. and some of the pics of my sister Jenny whom is passed away but was born in 1934. I see some resemblance but being all white vs. part white is somewhat hard to see. I never knew any of the people but my family back into the 1800 up to 1958 lived about five miles or less from the Bullocks when they lived around the area according to what i have tried to find out. My aunt Margaret has some degree of resemblance as does my aunt Wille whom is still alive, both were my father’s sisters. Maybe my mother knew about daddy and when i was born named me Floyd to let him always remember? I have no idea but if this woman Miss Turner cares about what i have to say then all i can tell her is she is welcome to ask me anything anytime for her benefit. I am going down to Nutbush soon and see if i can find some of my father’s friends to see if they remember dad when he was young and rowdy, always gambling and having fun in his younger days. T.C. My daughter married a black man and this is her child Kennedy. I never knew Tina’s supposed fathers first name, nor did i know that it was rumored about her father not being whom he was until way later on after my sister’s comments. I never knew exactly what was said about her thoughts about her father she might have had other. Can you shed some light on this for me? Floyd

My sister Evelyn born 1936. I do see a lot of similarity in Miss Turner and my family. I wish someone could at least let her know about this but i have no way of ever contacting anyone whom can drop even a message unless she can connect somehow to my Facebook. The sister Rachel born in 1939 in April just died on the 24th of this month. I am the only one left now that has any knowledge of what my father told my sister. I saw an interview with Oprah Winfrey and Miss Turner whereby Miss Turner talks about her mother “telling her everything?” Nothing more was said about what she told Oprah but i am sure Oprah knows. This is something Miss Turner should take a look at and I will leave this up to that time as i am not going to speak of this anymore unless i am inquired to do so. Floyd I’m wishing the best for you and your wishes to connect with Tina Turner. I myself have been working on a Bullock family tree for some 5 years or more still trying to find the link between Alex Bullock and Peter and Jane Bullock who is my Great Great grandparents, I been told that Alex Bullock which is the Grandfather of Tina Turner and the son of Peter and his wife Jane Bullock.
