Some short Tina Turner news, with information on new (old) releases, Children Beyond, a concert photo exhibition in Stockholm and the birthday fan party in Amsterdam next month!

Children Beyond

Last week Children Beyond, the spiritual album on which Tina Turner participated, entered the Swiss album charts on number 21! Unfortunately, this week, the album dropped to position 32: still very good for an album of this kind. However, the previous Beyond album even made it to no. 7 in the Swiss charts, so let’s help break this record. Also, the album is on position no. 2 on the Amazon.de ‘classical music’ charts and no. 70 in the general album charts! You can still order the album as an import from Amazon.de, or as a digital download from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and iTunes worldwide!
Update: Amazon.co.uk now also lists the album with a November 21 release date on the Medial Music label. So, it looks like the album will get a UK release; good news! You can pre-order it here. (Thanks to Lasse for the information!)

New releases

Two classic Ike & Tina albums will be re-released together on one CD: Delilah’s Power and Airwaves. This album will be released on November 18/21: pre-order on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de.

Photo exhibition Stockholm

Our friend Martina let us know about an exhibition of Swedish rock photographer Hans Ekestang at the Clarion hotel in Stockholm, Sweden. He photographed Tina several times, and in the exhbition a photo of Tina from 1974 is featured. The exhibtion runs until November 20, so if you happen to be in the area, go check it out. Tina birthday party

Finally, just to remind you, in less than a month, we will be celebrating Tina Turner’s 72nd birthday in Amsterdam. This fan party will take place on November 26 in bar The Queen’s Head, fans from all over the world will be coming together over the weekend! The evening of the party is already planned and booked, currently we are planning some other activities as well.
