The video above is Tina Turner performing On Silent Wings live at Flanders Expo, Ghent in Belgium during her 1996 Wildest Dreams tour. On Silent Wings was the third single of Tina’s Wildest Dreams album, after Goldeneye and Whatever You Want, and was released in April 1996. The song was written by Tina’s longtime guitar player James Ralston, together with Swamp Rock legend Tony Joe White. The album version of the song features a cameo appearance by Sting: during her tour Sting’s vocal parts were performed by Tina’s other guitar player John Miles. The video above was recorded live on stage while Tina was on tour and was broadcast as part of the election of Miss Belgium television show in May 1996.
