After the release of Let’s Stay Together and the success of the Private Dancer album, Tina Turner took a new turn in her life and moved to Europe where a new found success was. First living in England then in Germany with the man who would become her husband some 20 years later, old Europe was embracing TINA’s resilience and comeback. New countries mean new languages and we’ve seen over the years that the Queen of Rock always seems embarrassed when she has to speak a foreign tongue in public. But there is one word that stroke TINA more than others, and that’s the German word, ‘Jahwohl’.
TINA might have found the word sounded funny or perhaps it was a private sign to her new lover at the time but it became kind of stage gimmick that would never leave her. So you’ve probably never dreamed about it but there it is, your one minute of TINA’s yelling Jawohl! Enjoy!
This is just priceless! LOVE IT! Thank you so much Ben – cannot wait to see you in March :-)!
