September is almost here which means it is time for this year edition of the Tina Turner Heritage Days held every year in Brownsville,TN where the TINA Museum stands proudly. The schedule for this year weekend (Sept 21-23) has just been unveiled by the fantastic team of the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center, check it out below and see you there!
Friday, September 21st
9 am – 5 pm
Arts & Ag Mystery Tour
A day exploring one of northwest Tennessee’s most diverse county. We’re not telling you where you’ll be going, but we’re pretty sure you will have a good time.
Cost: $20 per person. Tour includes admission to all stops.
DOES NOT INCLUDE the cost of food (breakfast/lunch) and/or any purchases you wish to make along the way. You must be at least 21 years old and pre-register for this tour.
Limited to 24 participate
6 PM
Fan Gathering
Join fellow Tina Fans from all over the globe for an evening of getting to know each other, and sharing your favorite Tina stories. Explore the Tina Turner Museum …. and of course, there is Tina Karaoke.

Saturday, September 22
6:30 a.m.
Old Family Stew Cook-Off
Local stew markers prepare old-time Brunswick stew to sell for their charities and compete for the title of “StewMaster.”
The stew is ready by noon and you are invited to try sample or purchase bowls for lunch.
Judging begins at 11:00 a.m.
Winners announced at 1 p.m.
9 a.m.
Nutbush Tour
Cost: $10. Limited to 24 participates. This 4-hour tour includes:
Dunbar Carver Museum. You’ll experience the museum that traces 100 years of the schools history and students. This is the school Tina attended grades 9-10.
Ripley, TN, for The Hole, and where the Henderson Car Lot was located.
Nutbush for a picture opportunity at the Old Country Store and Tina Turner Highway sign
Former site of Flagg Grove School
Woodlawn MB Church where Tina sang in the choir and attended church with her grandparents. Explore the cemetery for Benjamin Flagg’s grave and other family members.

What’s Love Got to Do With It?
The Movie
Cost: Free
Celebrate 25 years since the making of this movie. Join fellow Tina fans at College Hill for a group viewing.
7 p.m.
Tribute Concert
A special Tina tribute that will get you warmed up and ready to dance the night away with the soulful sounds of Jackson Tennessee’s Vonda Peet!
Concert Tickets: $15. Concert tickets can be pre-purchased or are available at the door.
Sunday, September 23
7:30 p.m.
Farwell Breakfast
Continental breakfast served and a chance to say goodbye until next year to all your new friends.
You’re now part of the Tina-FAM.
9:20 a.m.
Church Service at Woodlawn
For those who are not having to hit the road early, you are invited to worship at Tina’s former church – Woodlawn Missionary Baptist Church.
Meet at the Delta Heritage Center around 8:30 if you’d like to carpool with other fans.
