TINA’S My Love Story: Interview With Deborah Davis

Scroll down to content

This month marks the first anniversary of the release of Tina Turner’s latest biography, My Love Story. After meeting Dominik Wichmann (the second half of the book) and his team in Germany last year, I had the pleasure to recently talk to Deborah Davis, co-author with Wichmann of the biography.

A lovely lady and established writer, Deborah Davis has written several books including Guest of Honor: Booker T. Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, and the White House Dinner That Shocked a Nation which won the prestigious Phillis Wheatley Award for best work of History in 2013 and was nominated for an NAACP Image Award.

Sharing this one in a lifetime experience with fans, Deborah opens up about her relationship with Tina, her work with the star and gives us a fun insight behind the making of My Love Story.

A big thanks again to Deborah Davis for her warmth, for taking the time to share her stories, and for her very encouraging and touching words on the TINA Blog.

  1. Thank you, Ben! Awesome interview. Very insightful, but nothing surprising as we all know, Tina is the best! Can’t wait for my NY show date next month. It’s been over a year since I saw it in London. If not for costs, I’d see it each week. 🤗💕🙏🏾

  6. I read Tina’s My Love Story with mixed feelings. Admiration for her brilliance and strength as a woman and revulsion for what an Ike Turner did to Tina. In any case, Erwin came along and made up for her lost years. Tina is an inspiration and I call her Brilliance and elegance on two very hot legs!♥️👏🏼
