Who would have thought?! After 20 years of absence, TINA has returned to the Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (Dated Aug. 1) at No. 7 with the new remix version of her classic track « What’s Love Got to Do With It » !
TINA last appeared on this chart when When The Heartache Is Over wrapped its N°3-peaking on the Dance Club Songs in April 2000!
The original song, solely by Tina Turner, topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks in September 1984.
The new take earned 2.6 million U.S. streams and 260,000 in all-format radio audience and sold 15,000 downloads in the tracking week, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
TINA tallies her first top 10 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, which began in January 2013, while Kygo collects his 18th.
The collaboration also marches in at No. 1 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales, granting Kygo his seventh No. 1 and TINA her first. That’s enough for Kygo to tie Nicki Minaj for the second-most leaders in the chart’s decade-plus existence!
“What’s Love Got To Do With It” bows at No. 15 on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs.
As of today, TINA has 17 entries on the Billboard Top 100 chart including 6 Top 10 between 1984 and 2000 and a N°1 hit with What’s Love.
Let’s all help keeping the TINA momentum going and keep on streaming and sharing What’s Love! – Stay safe everyone!
