TINA: The Disney Connection

Scroll down to content

April 1992: The eyes of the world are focused on Paris for the grand opening of Disney’s new theme park, EuroDisney.

The ceremony is planned to be broadcast in dozens of countries with an incredible list of guests.

Among them, Cher, the Gypsy Kings, Gloria Estefan, and of course to conclude the evening, the one and only Tina Turner.

I guess it’s pretty safe to say that Tina never envisioned performing in front of Donald Duck and Roger Rabbit but that’s what happened as she entered the newly built stage of Videopolis…But how did Tina get there?

Watch this new video essay about how the fruitful relationship between Tina Turner and the Mouse company evolved over the years. Plus a gallery of HD photos from Tina attending the premiere of the movie Brother Bear in New York back in 2003.
