A very Merry Christmas to Mr & Mrs Bach and to every readers of Tina Turner Blog! Wishing you all happy and healthy holidays with your loved ones and let’s not forget those who are alone and less fortunate.
A few updates concerning the blog:
First, you’ll find in the Menu a new ‘TINA The Musical‘ section! A simple click to read every updates and informations we have so far concerning the forthcoming musical on Tina Turner’s life.
Second, two new additions to our Networks with TINA Blog Videos & TINA HD. You’ll respectively find on both pages, the video montage I’ve made for Tina Turner Blog and every High Definition/4K uploads from our Youtube channel in one place!
Thirdly, a new ‘Archives’ button is making its apparition (on the left side of the page if you are on your computer, at the bottom if you are viewing the mobile version of the blog) to help you navigate more easily throughout six years of blogging on Tina Turner Blog!
And because Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a small present, here is a new video upload of Tina giving an incredible rendition of her classic hit ‘Let’s Stay Together’ unplugged on American TV back in 1997. Who else thinks that the concept of re-arranging Tina’s songs unplugged should have come to reality somehow!? I say, not too late for a ‘TINA Unplugged: One Night Only’ live in Zurich!
By Dashon T Jones – “All I Can Say Is WoW”. This is truly how I can initially describe my holiday in The Netherlands this year. I arrived in Amsterdam on my Birthday and although the rest of the gang didnt start to arrive until two days later, being in Europe was now a dream realized! Excitement filled me as I walked from Amsterdam Centraal across the canal then to The Victoria Hotel where I then checked in. Once in the room I took a quick shower I hurriedly rushed downstairs and back outside! Until now I had never witnessed such originality in traditional structure, I was thrilled! For two days I alone enjoyed the people, food and architectural fascination of the city. Early Wednesday morning, before daybreak, I got a call from the hotel clerk asking if I was expecting a guest, It was BEN! My buddy and webmaster of TinaTurnerBlog. Continue reading Beyond TINA77→

First, I must apologize for not reporting sooner on the 2016 Tina Turner Heritage Days but it is always difficult to write about an event that turned out to be some sort of life changing experience. It was a journey I had been looking forward to for years and after two weeks on the road with fellow TINA fan Dashon, time was finally there to discover the Tina Turner Museum and of course Nutbush, the lil’ old town in Tennessee.
It was in the mail this morning… And it was a real surprise! I have lost track of the numerous re-releases of Ike & Tina Turner materials and the vast majority is just random songs put together with a random title and poor audio quality…But for this new release, Cleopatra Records has seen things in big and succeed!
The dynamic Ike & Tina Turner released all of these raw recordings for the Pompeii Label in the late 1960’s. This digitally remastered, deluxe 3D set features three complete albums (in mini sleeves that duplicate their original LP jackets) along with informative liner notes, photos, and much more!
During a fascinating career that was as triumphant and groundbreaking as it was erratic and turbulent, Ike & Tina Turner became one of the most prolific recording duos of their time. Between 1960 &; 1970 the pair cut for at least 10 different record labels resulting in nearly 70 singles and some 20 albums. This set which features material they released through Pompeii Records from 1968 and 1969, coincides closely – as well as confusingly – with titles released by the Blue Thumb label during those same years which would result in a total of 6 albums consisting of, for the most part, new material. Bear in mind, this was accomplished while the duo toured regularly both here and abroad (reportedly 300 shows a year), made innumerable television appearances, and managed to raise a family…
‘The man who ‘invented’ Supermodels’, photographer Peter Lindbergh has some great things to say about Tina Turner! We highy recommend you to visit his sucessful exhibition at Kunsthal Rotterdam, The Netherlands, which last until February 12, 2017!
Tina was spotted today in Rotterdam, attending the opening of Peter Lindbergh photo exhibition. Tina has been photographed many times by the artist, their most famous collaboration being the Hanes campaign and the Missing You video clip that Lindbergh shot in 1996.
