“Big wheel keep on turning, Proud Mary keeps on burning”
The only certainty in life is that nothing is certain. Everything changes, nothing stays the same. When Tina Turner was asked for her sixtieth birthday what kind of message she wants to deliver to her audience, she answered exactly that. The feeling that everything changes and nothing stays the same.
“TINA 75”, this year celebrations of Tina Turner’s 75 birthday are only just a few days away. And our fan party is making Germans newspapers! After a telephone interview with well-known newspaper Die Welt, several websites published our story such as Focus.de and Berliner Zeitung. We are all very exited about it and it is thrilling to see that what started as a little party between a handful of friends/fans became such an event! A warm thinking to Anja Offermann who was also in charged of organizing the party in the previous years, and also to all of you who contributed in making it a success!
Once again, Tina won’t attend the celebrations! This is a non-profit weekend organized by fans for fans. If you wish to join us, please follow the process for both evenings explained in details here: Friday Evening & Saturday Evening.
A souvenir from last year party in Amsterdam created by me, Ben!
We have now started collecting donations for the Friday and Saturday events of the Tina Turner fan party weekend. If you would like to attend one or both evenings, please find the information on the donation process on the FB event pages and our website.
In previous years, a fan party in honor of Tina Turner’s birthday was organized in Amsterdam. Big news: this year, in honor of Tina’s 75th birthday, the party is moving to Berlin! TINA 75: the Tina Turner birthday fan party is a weekend organized by and for fans. Since this blog is called Tina Turner Blog well maybe we have to talk to you a bit about Tina Turner’s new release. That’s right, a new release! Well according to Parlophone… Because of course, there’s nothing new about this new “Love Song” compilation, even not the cover. No new songs or previously unreleased tracks, just classics put together to sell a couple of cd’s on Valentine’s Day. And don’t expect 74-year old Turner to make any promotional appearances in support of the album, as she is “happily retired” from the music business according to her spokesperson.
