Soul Sister – the press round-up (updated)

Last weekend, the musical Soul Sister based on Tina Turner’s career and her marriage to Ike Turner, opened in London’s Hackney Empire theater. And good news: the musical has received mostly very positive reviews, and especially Emi¬†Wokoma’s¬†portrayal of Tina Turner is applauded. Ike & Tina musical Soul Sister premieres in London on April 14

On April 14, the musical Soul Sister, inspired by Tina Turner’s life story and music, will premiere at London’s Hackney Empire theatre. The show stars Emi Wokoma as Tina and Chris Tummings as Ike Turner, and it will feature many of Tina’s biggest hits. Tina Turner, nor anybody from her team is involved in the show, but it might still be an interesting night out for Tina fans in the area!
