An Overnight Sensation

TINA TURNER AT WEMBLEY ARENA, LONDON, BRITAIN - 1987
TINA Live at Wembley Arena – June 1987 (Rex)

Still celebrating the 30th Anniversary of TINA’s Break Every Rule World Tour with an upload this week of selected songs from Tina’s performance at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, Germany on July 3rd, 1987.  An audience recording of good quality if you consider it was recorded 30 years ago! Singing David Bowie’s ‘Girls’ and ‘It’s Only Love’ with John Miles, this concert tour is interesting on many levels:  Tina performed in front of massive audiences in Europe and across the world, she sang certain songs she would never perform live again and unfortunately not that many footage of the Break Every Rule Tour have emerged. But let’s not lose hope to get our hands on more in the future and you can be sure you’ll find it on Tina Turner Blog! And if you want to get a better experience with the audio below, I would advice you to use headphones.

Tonight, when I arrived I looked out and I saw so many people, I felt good! Thank You for coming!

She won’t get fooled again

After hours of investigation, it seems that the ‘news’ about TINA appearing in the new musical was only an April Fools. If those alternatives facts seemed appealing better check twice before sharing rumors and non reliable informations. Anyway, glad to see most people got the joke, sorry to the ones who were offended by it, no harm intended.
And because we can’t stand fake news and to make it up to you, here is a new upload of probably the most epic and brutal performance of  ‘I Can’t Stand The Rain’ from TINA live in Nijmegen, The Netherlands during her Break Every Rule Tour 30 years ago this year. Enjoy!
