From Nutbush, TN to Küsnacht, Switzerland: Tina Turner is a Swiss citizen
Congratulations to Tina Turner: last Monday, she was handed her Swiss Passport. Having lived in Switzerland for over 15 years, she is now an official citizen of the country. Newspaper Blick reports that on April 22, she visited the Swiss passport bureau in Zürich together with husband-to-be Erwin Bach. Formalities, including taking a photo, took about 15 minutes. Before being able to apply for the passport, Tina had to take a citizenship test and learn the German language. We wish Tina a lot of happiness in her life as ‘Schweizerin’!

Tina Turner christens Küsnacht’s rescue boat

Big surprise last saturday when Tina Turner inaugurated the new rescue boat of Küsnacht, the town where she lives since 1995.
“Ich taufe dich Tina” (“I christen you, Tina”), declared the singer in German, wishing the boat a good luck and a save journey. More info on the Zurichsee Zeitung website!
Also, a publication of Kusnacht’s civil status, revealed that Tina Turner is now officially a Küsnacht citizen (being referred as Turner-Bullock Tina). Continue reading to have a look at it.

Wedding bells for Tina Turner!

Tina Turner (73) is set to marry long-time partner Erwin Bach (57) this year, according to a report in Swiss tabloid newspaper Blick today. The ceremony will take place directly at the lake of Zürich (in their garden?). Food is provided by Chefs Rico Zandonella and Horst Petermann of Tina’s favorite restaurant ‘Rico’s Kunststuben’. And the dress-code: white.

Tina Turner to become Swiss Citizen
Grüezi mitenand! After living for 20 years in Zurich, Tina Turner is about to give up her US citizenship and will officially become a Swiss citizen! The star is living on the shore of Lake Zurich since 1995 with her german boyfriend Erwin Bach.
The news has been spreading all over the internet since it was announced this morning in the Zuerichsee-Zeitung daily.

Tina Turner: Queen of the Ball
Tina Turner was among the guests at the Opera Ball in Zurich in 2001. She was wearing the same Gianfranco Ferre dress that she wore for her 50th birthday in London in 1989 (photo above), but in a different color. She explains that when she bought it, she couldn’t decide on the color, so she took both, and that the dress had been hanging in her closet ever since. Tina Turner & Children Beyond – Sports Awards Zurich – December 11, 2011 (updated December 23, 2011)
The Children Beyond group: Tina Turner, Regula Curti, Dechen Shak-Dagsay and the children performed at the Swiss Sports Awards in Zurich, Switzerland tonight. They performed “When You Sing” a medley of songs from the Children Beyond album, at the end of the gala show. The show was be broadcast live on Swiss television. Tina looked great, the ‘remix’ of Beyond songs sounded very fresh, and Regula, Dechen and the children did excellent! Below, you will find the video of the performance. Tina Turner rehearsing for upcoming Children Beyond tv appearances
A video was posted today of Tina Turner rehearsing with Regula Curti, Dechen Shak-Dagsay and the Beyond children for the upcoming tv appearances. This Sunday, December 11, they will perform in Zurich at the Swiss Sports Awards, while a week later, Saturday December 17, they will perform at the Ein Herz Für Kinder gala in Berlin. Both events will be broadcast live on tv, we hope to bring you the videos as soon as possible.

Born in Nutbush, Tennessee in 1939, Tina Turner moved to St. Louis in her teen years and from there she left for California. Although Tina lived in the Los Angeles area for about 25 years, in 1986 Tina moved to Europe and has lived there since. Living first in London, she later moved with her German boyfriend to Cologne, Germany. However, since the mid-1990′s, Tina divides her time between Zurich, Switzerland and Nice at the French Côte d’Azur. Her house in France was built especially for her and she decorated it herself.
