Still celebrating the 30th Anniversary of TINA’s Break Every Rule World Tour with an upload this week of selected songs from Tina’s performance at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, Germany on July 3rd, 1987. An audience recording of good quality if you consider it was recorded 30 years ago! Singing David Bowie’s ‘Girls’ and ‘It’s Only Love’ with John Miles, this concert tour is interesting on many levels: Tina performed in front of massive audiences in Europe and across the world, she sang certain songs she would never perform live again and unfortunately not that many footage of the Break Every Rule Tour have emerged. But let’s not lose hope to get our hands on more in the future and you can be sure you’ll find it on Tina Turner Blog! And if you want to get a better experience with the audio below, I would advice you to use headphones.
Tonight, when I arrived I looked out and I saw so many people, I felt good! Thank You for coming!

Putting a world tour together and promoting it can be tiring. Add that to the fact that promotion isn’t your cup of tea and that you don’t really need it to sell out stadiums well you end up doing “On The Road Interviews”. Those are always fun and a real treat to watch for fans. In 2000, the biggest UK & German Tv channels, the BBC & ZDF send cameras to follow Tina Turner and her team on stage and backstage during her Twenty Four Seven Tour.
All in all 80 min of behind the scenes footages featuring a peek at rehearsals, interviews with Tina, band members, dancers and live footage. Screenshots included.
The video above is Tina Turner performing On Silent Wings live at Flanders Expo, Ghent in Belgium during her 1996 Wildest Dreams tour. On Silent Wings was the third single of Tina’s Wildest Dreams album, after Goldeneye and Whatever You Want, and was released in April 1996. The song was written by Tina’s longtime guitar player James Ralston, together with Swamp Rock legend Tony Joe White. The album version of the song features a cameo appearance by Sting: during her tour Sting’s vocal parts were performed by Tina’s other guitar player John Miles. The video above was recorded live on stage while Tina was on tour and was broadcast as part of the election of Miss Belgium television show in May 1996.
