It’s a picture we would like to see more often: TINA in a recording studio! Taken last December in Zurich, Tina looks radiant and appears very concentrated on her message! But don’t get your hopes too high, Miss Tina isn’t recording a new rock album, she is just putting her voice again on a few tracks for the upcoming Beyond album due to be released later this year. Apart from that, it’s been very quiet lately, TINA, The Musical is still in development and the first newsletter should arrive soon! Until then here’s a couple of new photos posted by the musical team on social networks.

It seems like everywhere in the world there’s hidden gems celebrating TINA. From the never dying posters surviving under a bridge in Germany to window painting of the Queen in a deserted St Louis street, here is a new found one in Paris. Located near the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret, this beautiful piece of street art has been created by artist Ilèa and now appears on the walls of the Rue Planquette. Don’t know if it will be permanent but if you ever are in Paris soon, guess it’s a nice spot to get your picture taken with TINA! Thanks to Gustavo for the tip!
We talked about it for months (even decades among TINA Titans) and today it is finally official! TINA The Musical, will hit London’s West End in 2018. A special website has been launched for the occasion: TINA The Musical. Check it out & subscribe to the mailing list!
Moreover, here is a message from TINA herself:
We have been working on the musical for over a year now and today I am delighted to be able to share our news as we begin the next chapter of our journey. It has been wonderful to collaborate with Katori and Phyllida and to have my story nurtured by such an amazing creative team is thrilling. London has always had a very special place in my heart and it’s wonderful to be back.

Looking at those shots from the early sixties when Little Ann’ was on the verge of what would become one of the most spectacular career in music industry, I am pretty sure she had had no idea of what the future would look like and how bumpy the road would be. Was it the age of innocence? I wish I could say yes but as can be seen on several pictures from that time and from this photo shoot, Tina’s look shows that despite her young age, she has already been confronted to the harshness of life. But it also shows determination and that whatever it would take, if she was destined to famous, nobody would stop her.
The lotus is a flower that grows in the mud. The thicker and deeper the mud, the more beautiful the lotus blooms…
Well then, Anna Mae Bullock blossomed more beautifully than anyone else.
More photos from the photoshoot inside the post! Enjoy!
A very nice and candide shot of Tina Turner (76) emerged today on Instagram! Taken earlier today in the streets of Zurich, it seems that the Rock legend graciously agreed to pose in front of a young admirer! Not very Swiss protocole but let’s admit it, it must have taken some guts and the guy got lucky!
Remember last year when we wrote that Tina was offering Christmas decoration for her city Kusnacht, in Zurich’s neighborhood? Until then the Seestrass, were Tina lives, didn’t have any! But today, the Queen of Rock attended a little celebration with Kusnacht mayor Markus Ernst and turned on the decorations lights for this year which was followed by a “Wow” from that “unmistakable throaty voice”. The Legend, nearly 76 looked radiant in black and we’re happy to see her looking so fine!
Tina was accompanied by her husband Erwin Bach who said goodbye on behalf of both with the words:
“We wish peace in the world at Christmas”
We also wish everybody a peaceful Christmas next month, a joyful Thanksgiving and of course a very Happy Birthday to Tina!
August 1975 – 10 years before Private Dancer would bombast Tina Turner back to the spotlight, her last album (and probably her more rock and roll one) under Ike Turner’s supervision came out. The very much forgotten and underrated Acid Queen. To celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, here is 15 things to know about the Acid Queen!
It was fifteen years ago today! Fifteen years! And yet it still feels like yesterday.
Back in 2000, Tina Turner was back on the road with the massive stadium Twenty Four Seven World Tour. And of course, France is always on the map when it comes to Tina tours.
Take a 60 years old Rock Legend, add a 2 hours non-stop show and 80.0000 people cheering and you’ll end up with probably the best concert you’ll ever seen!
And since we like celebrations on the Tina Turner Blog, let’s celebrate this amazing show with photos and audio from that evening!
Enjoy and let us know what you think! Oh and don’t miss the very special sing along version of “The Best”…
