It seems like everywhere in the world there’s hidden gems celebrating TINA. From the never dying posters surviving under a bridge in Germany to window painting of the Queen in a deserted St Louis street, here is a new found one in Paris. Located near the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret, this beautiful piece of street art has been created by artist Ilèa and now appears on the walls of the Rue Planquette. Don’t know if it will be permanent but if you ever are in Paris soon, guess it’s a nice spot to get your picture taken with TINA! Thanks to Gustavo for the tip!

It was fifteen years ago today! Fifteen years! And yet it still feels like yesterday.
Back in 2000, Tina Turner was back on the road with the massive stadium Twenty Four Seven World Tour. And of course, France is always on the map when it comes to Tina tours.
Take a 60 years old Rock Legend, add a 2 hours non-stop show and 80.0000 people cheering and you’ll end up with probably the best concert you’ll ever seen!
And since we like celebrations on the Tina Turner Blog, let’s celebrate this amazing show with photos and audio from that evening!
Enjoy and let us know what you think! Oh and don’t miss the very special sing along version of “The Best”…

In the early nineties, one of my first cd i got after discovering Tina was “Ike & Tina Turner Live at the Olympia 71”. And i felt really lucky to have it while my collection was only flourishing… Most fans will tell you that they remember the exact time they heard certain songs, albums, the feeling of the moment and all the emotions that it gives…
20 years ago today, Tina Turner performed at the Grand Opening of Disneyland Paris, Disney’s theme park just outside of Paris, France. Tina performed (lip-synching) her hit single The Best from 1989. The opening of EuroDisney on April 12, 1992, was a big event with many stars, and it was broadcast (live) in several European countries. In this video, Tina is introduced by German television host Thomas Gottschalk.
27 years ago today, Tina Turner performed at the Zénith in Paris as part of her 1985 Private Dancer world tour. Below, you will find the songs I Can’t Stand The Rain and Help, taken from an audience recording of this show. Also, you will find a review of the concert that appeared in an Austrian newspaper (in German), and the set list of the concert. Thanks to Hans for providing the newspaper article!
An audio recording of Tina Turner performing a cover of the Bertie Higgins’ song Key Largo, live at Le Palace in Paris on March 29, 1982. As far as we know, this is the only existing recording of Tina performing this song. Unfortunately, the quality of the audio file is very bad, but still worth a listen, especially for the fans. The picture above is from that concert. Click below for the song and lyrics.
Tina Turner was a guest at the French presidential palace, L’Elysee, 3 years ago and she looked totally gorgeous. Erwin was also there of course. See more HQ pics inside!
