Denise Valdez sat down with Tina Turner and Oprah Winfrey for an interview in May 2008, held backstage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Tina and Oprah were in town to record an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. The episode featured a memorable performance in which Tina and Cher joined forces to sing βProud Mary.β
The trio delved into topics like sleep and work habits during the conversation. At one point, Oprah asked Tina what time she typically woke up. Tina revealed she usually started her day at 1 p.m. This led Valdez to share her own routine as a morning news anchor, waking up at 2 a.m. after just six hours of sleep. Tina reacted with a playful but pointed comment, quipping, βYouβre gonna die early,β while Oprah chimed in, urging Valdez to prioritize more rest.
Tina had a long history with Las Vegas, dating back to her iconic 1971 performance with Ike Turner at Caesars Palace. Over the years, she returned for major shows, including a concert at the Thomas & Mack Center in 1993 and two nights at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in 2000.
Thank You Dear BEN , for this video, looks like from now, tina so full of life ππ Always remembered the 8 hours of sleeping , and when I ( Chen) slept less and was tired , I always told to myself oh, how TINA right , I need too the 8 hours sleeping.
