The new Ike & Tina Turner DVD ‘On The Road: 1971-1972’ has now been released! Only last week, we shared the interview that we had with its creator, world-renowned rock & roll photographer Bob Gruen. If you haven’t read this interview yet, take a look here! We have been playing the DVD non-stop for the past days, you can order it online at Amazon.com.

That’s not all – some other Ike & Tina recordings have been re-released over the past few months.

The Soul of Ike & Tina Turner: Ike & Tina’s debut album that was originally released on Sue Records back in 1960 has been remastered and re-released on CD. This edition features 10 bonus tracks from the period 1958-1962. This album is music history, and surely a must-have in any music collection. Available since last week, order on Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com.

Also re-mastered ans re-released is the Ike & Tina live album What You Hear Is What You Get, recorded at New York’s Carnegie Hall back in 1971! While we have yet to hear this new version, this album is surely one of the highlights of Ike & Tina’s career, and it is a good document of how exciting their live act was. If you don’t own this album yet – this new version might be a good opportunity for you: available at Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com.

Finally, Ike & Tina’s 1972 album Feel Good has apparently been re-released on vinyl by Pure Pleasure Records. We haven’t seen or heard this release yet. Amazon appears to have only limited availability: it looks like it is a very limited release, and prices are quite high. However, it is a great album, so if you want to add it to your collection, you can order it on Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com.
