Celebrating the incredible solo career of Tina Turner “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’. A collection of all her singles from 1975-2023. 55 tracks presented chronologically on triple CD & 5LP sets with a foreword from Bryan Adams. Booklet notes for each song by yours truly, Ben.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Tina Turner’s iconic solo career, “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” presents an extensive compilation featuring 55 tracks that encompass a remarkable anthology of Tina’s legendary solo journey through her singles. Starting with her rendition of “Whole Lotta Love” and extending all the way to the 2020 Kygo remix of “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” this release marks the first time her complete singles collection is available in a single package.

You can now pre-order this collection, set to be released on November 24th. It is offered in triple-CD and 5LP formats, as well as digitally with a condensed 12-track vinyl version. Each edition includes a foreword from Bryan Adams, Tina’s long-standing friend and collaborator.

Tina’s solo career began in 1974 with her album “Tina Turns The Country On!” while she continued to tour and release albums as part of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. Although the first album did not produce any singles, it was in 1975, with the release of her second album “Acid Queen,” that her cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” became her debut single.

This compilation showcases her collaborations with legendary artists such as David Bowie, Bryan Adams, Eric Clapton, and Rod Stewart, alongside some of the most unforgettable and acclaimed pop and rock singles of all time, including “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” “Private Dancer,” “We Don’t Need Another Hero,” “The Best,” “Steamy Windows,” “I Don’t Wanna Lose You,” “Disco Inferno,” and many more.

Ahead of the anthology official release, the 2023 rendition of “Something Beautiful Remains” is now accessible on various streaming platforms.

From the booklet:

Dear Tina,

The experience of working with you could never be repeated, but in my heart something beautiful remains. Love, Terry

Graham Lyle and Terry Britten co-wrote “Something Beautiful Remains”.

“I felt that it wasn’t exactly me, one that I felt like I wanted to sing so to speak. A story about “footprints in the sand”. I said to Roger “I’m from the South we have mud on our feet” .

Then we went to the studio with Terry and he said “I don’t want anybody with me when I get you to sing it and you’ll like it once I’m done, trust me”. I put one vocal down and I listened to it. And there was something special to it. I call it a ‘rainy day song’. It’s one of those very relaxing one for a quiet day and it just feels good.”

Commencing with Tina’s cherished mantra, “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo”, this fresh interpretation is nothing short of exceptional. Listeners are bound to be deeply moved, especially given the changed significance of the lyrics following Tina’s passing in May 2023. As a devoted Buddhist, Tina held the belief that death marked not an end but, as the song suggests, a new beginning.

  3. Hello Ben,

So glad your hard work and dedication have been recognized (again) and get you working with the team in charge of Tina’s legacy . Maybe from where she is , her generous smile is looking at your efforts . On another note, I really hope some live video recordings will be resurrected and restored . I assume there must be some jewels there dormant, and that is where Tina’s magic was , live, on stage, sharing with her audience . regards from Brussels , Pierre

  5. I noticed a curious detail in the track listing on Amazon: the singles from the soundtrack album “What’s Love Got to Do with It?” are all listed as 2023 remastered versions, unlike any of the other songs. When was this 2023 remaster done? Could this be a clue that that album is slated for a deluxe release, just like Foreign Affair in 2021 and Break Every Rule in 2022?
