Tina Turner by Peter Lindbergh, the new volume published by Taschen, is a stunning tribute to the creative partnership between our beloved legend and the iconic German photographer.

Taschen’s new book features portraits taken across diverse settings—Paris, Deauville, Los Angeles, and the Mojave Desert. These images encapsulate Turner’s duality: fierce energy on stage and quiet depth behind the scenes.

Peter Lindbergh, whose photography often revealed raw humanity behind public personas, found a muse in Tina Turner. The pair first collaborated in the late 1980s as Tina entered a new musical era with Foreign Affair.

Lindbergh’s lens captured her electrifying stage presence and personal elegance, moments spanning sartorial elegance to soulful introspection.

To make Taschen’s new volume even more memorable, Erwin Bach, Tina’s husband, wrote the foreword and offers an intimate and heartfelt perspective on the bond between his late wife and photographer Peter Lindbergh:

“Peter saw her as a work of art, a fashion and beauty icon, and, more importantly, a joyous, powerful, and deeply spiritual woman.

With never-seen-before photos in high definition on high-quality paper, this new release is definitely a must-have for every Tina fan.

  1. Hello Ben, It’s Amelia here, I was so fortunate to have worked with Tina on the theme of Goldeneye, designing, fitting and making the gown, and met her on a few memorable occasions. I have only recently found an image of Tina at a fitting on set, one of my most treasured photographs, appeared online out of the blue. Tina is so very much missed by us all. Wish I’d had a chance to see her again. Kind regards  Amelia
