Tina Turner’s life story has probably become the most epic part to play for any African American actress. Establishing the acting career of Angela Bassett in 1993 and launching the career of Adrienne Warren, Tina’s life is brutal and inspiring, a dream part for any performer.
Twenty five years on from her Oscar-nominated performance, screen legend Angela Bassett met Adrienne Warren, who is currently portraying the Rock legend in the West End show ‘TINA, The Musical’ at The Aldwych Theatre on Friday.
While the cast was at the centre of one of the biggest inception of all time, the, What’s Love Got To Do With It actress, 60, appeared overjoyed and broke down in tears as she emotionally embraced the young star, 31.
Very happy for both of them – Thanks for sharing, Ben ❤

Wow! What a powerful moment. Both of these women owe part of their success to Tina. Angela’s career really took off after the movie and it looks like Adrienne is set to do the same.

I never thought I would see this much credit and success for Tina. I always felt she was short changed by the American media and America itself. Everyone have their day, this is her time. Much love to you Tina and Ben, as always, thanks for all update.

Mrs Adrienne Warner should not play Tina because she had very bad voice and is lack of charisma.

Adrienne’s wig looks like a lion mane not good. Now Tina herself is not watching over things, it seems there are some changes ie costumes, that she might not be happy with. I often wonder who pushed her into doing this. A lot of folk making a name for themselves using the name Tina Turner. There is only 1 Anna Mae Bullock no one can emulate that

I love Tina but I think this musical is unnecessary. Both Mrs Warner and Mrs Love can not sing and are not talented. This musical is one scream and chaos and at a very low level musically. Tina Turner has a great voice, it’s a shame that such bad singers profane her songs. Besides, Tina is only one.
