By Dashon T Jones – “All I Can Say Is WoW”. This is truly how I can initially describe my holiday in The Netherlands this year. I arrived in Amsterdam on my Birthday and although the rest of the gang didnt start to arrive until two days later, being in Europe was now a dream realized! Excitement filled me as I walked from Amsterdam Centraal across the canal then to The Victoria Hotel where I then checked in. Once in the room I took a quick shower I hurriedly rushed downstairs and back outside! Until now I had never witnessed such originality in traditional structure, I was thrilled! For two days I alone enjoyed the people, food and architectural fascination of the city. Early Wednesday morning, before daybreak, I got a call from the hotel clerk asking if I was expecting a guest, It was BEN! My buddy and webmaster of TinaTurnerBlog. Continue reading
Amsterdam (The Netherlands) – Last Saturday, our annual Tina Turner Fan Party took place at the Winston Kingdom in Amsterdam and it is fair to say that everyone left with stars in their eyes. We started celebrating Miss Tina’s birthday between fans at Anja’s place in Germany in 2010 with only a hand full of people and to think that seven years later we are here celebrating in a big club of the Dutch capital with an amazing singer, live band and fans from all over the world, it is truly unbelievable! After a year of intense and nerve wracking work, Anja, Marco, Sjef & I would like to thank you all for being a part of it and for making it a success again!
Below, a video of the amazingly talented Nurlaila Karim who performed an hour set of Tina Turner songs for us. Climax was reached during this intense version of I’ve Been Loving You Too Long. She simply put us all on our feet! A big thank you from all the fans to Nur & Mur for their involvement in our project! We love you!
Moreover, have a look at the wonderful photos made by the even more wonderful Dutch photographer Stephanie Pfundt. She captured the essence of the evening like no one and now we’ll have great memories to cherish forever! Thanks a lot Steph for your hard work and friendship!
And to finish convincing you to really join us next year for TINA78, have a look at the comment written by fans who attended the event! Seems like fun no!?
We have just reached the magic number of 50.000 followers on Youtube. In addition to our 230K Facebook friends, we are glad to reach that many TINA fans around the globe. So a big thank you to all of you who have been supporting us for all those years and if you don’t follow us yet on our social networks, please do!
And of course, to celebrate the occasion, and as an early birthday gift for all TINA fans, a new upload with this video montage of Tina’s 50th Anniversary Tour with videos made by fans. Created by Ben. Enjoy!

First, I must apologize for not reporting sooner on the 2016 Tina Turner Heritage Days but it is always difficult to write about an event that turned out to be some sort of life changing experience. It was a journey I had been looking forward to for years and after two weeks on the road with fellow TINA fan Dashon, time was finally there to discover the Tina Turner Museum and of course Nutbush, the lil’ old town in Tennessee.
March is already here and the planning of our annual “Tina Turner’s Fans Birthday Party” has started: the big celebration of TINA77 will take place on Tina’s birthday, Saturday 26, November 2016 and after two great years in Berlin, we are back in Amsterdam celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Tina Live in Amsterdam 1996 hence The Wildest Dreams Tour.
Last year almost a 100 fans from all over the world showed up at the “Party Weekend” and we expect even more this year! This is not a concert & Tina will not attempt the event! Just a great party for fans organized by fans! See you there!
More details soon, until then, enjoy the new trailer created for #TINA77.
2016 is already two months old and so far, we did not hear anything from Tina Turner, her record company or anybody else about a mandatory ‘de luxe edition’ and commemorative box set of her “Break Every Rule” album which turns 30 this year. What we heard, however, were literally a dozen requests from our readers for such a release so that we feel compelled to cry out for help in this matter: We want “Break Every Rule” released in a spectacular 30th anniversary edition! (By the way, Thanks for ‘Private Dancer 30th Anniversary’ last year Mr Bach!)
Tina Turner – Break Every Rule – 12 and 7 Inch Releases
Just to be clear about this: this is not really a mere suggestion or a hint that such a release is absolutely essentially necessary and highly awaited but rather a demand. Just think of it as an online petition. But we safe you the burden of reading through our Excel sheets with all the names and email addys and simply call a spade, a spade here.
“You were so good – we have to do it again”!
The party in 2014 was so good that we again decided to continue celebrating Tina Turner and her music in Berlin, Germany. Please use our Facebook Group to interact with other TT fans and party people and check out our website created especially for the party where you can find answers to all your questions like:
- Where will the big party be held?
- Which hotels do you recommend?
- How can I discover Berlin from a Tina Turner perspective?
- What happened in the past?
This event is organized by fans (from the “T.T Family”) and for fans all around Europe and the rest of the world.
Everyone is welcome. And before anyone asks (it happens every year), Miss Tina will of course not attend the event! Mr & Mrs Bach are certainly relieved that once again the fans are partying far away from them! 😉
Check out the trailer for this year party!

this year celebrations of Tina Turner’s 75 birthday are only just a few days away. And our fan party is making Germans newspapers! After a telephone interview with well-known newspaper Die Welt,
several websites published our story such as Focus.de
and Berliner Zeitung.
We are all very exited about it and it is thrilling to see that what started as a little party between a handful of friends/fans
became such an event! A warm thinking to Anja Offermann who was also in charged of organizing the party in the previous years, and also to all of you who contributed in making it a success!
Once again, Tina won’t attend the celebrations! This is a non-profit weekend organized by fans for fans. If you wish to join us, please follow the process for both evenings explained in details here: Friday Evening & Saturday Evening.
